“Seven colors of reflections on life”

What could be a better embodiment of the idea of “Isolation” than full immersion in the element of color and a collage technique which firmly keeps you in the plane of the montage base, revealing their rhythm and spatial metaphor, embroidery pictures collected over 20 years from professional catalogs and magazines, adapted to a subjective and sensual feeling of color. There are seven of them (seven colors, as in that famous rhyme about a pheasant), plus the basic black and white. Each color is an extraction of human and professional experience of the designer-artist, who sees behind each color not a gradient difference in tone and light, but “desire”, “dreams”, “feeling”, “plans and actions”, which opened a new artistic understanding of color thinking. You can be ironic, but in this way: after the color system of Runge, Goethe, Kandinsky comes the “color system” of Inna Pedan. Each of the colors she used has its own concept and texture – from geometric planar forms to spatial breakthroughs, from “pied-de-poule” to stripes, lattices and figurative constants of our environment.

The main point is to reproduce reality, moving from the volumetric shape of the plane and saturation of color accents. By this, returning again to the essence of things, but exposing it in an extremely fine collage matrix. Besides, all materials used in the project are natural and ecological, inventions in the living environment. Spatiality and objectivity remain the artist’s specialty, she always maintains a balance between design practice and true art. “
