* NB

If one of the lecturers unexpectedly cannot make it (this may happen due to their extreme busyness on this day), visitors will receive a bonus — a lecture “Listening carefully, or How music affects our understanding of the media” from the curator, media person and cultural researcher Anna Starkova (Anel Sudakevich). Should you have any questions, please contact her.

** Notice and advice

The lecture course came about when participants of the Music Day realized they would like and can share not only their art, but also life hacks, innovative approaches, little-known facts of history and interesting life experiences that can be useful for people who would like to learn more about music and understand it better.

So, our lecturers are most often regular participants of Music Days and other social, educational, experimental activities that have something to do with music. For example, Igor Prykhodko is the pianist who must be known to all Kharkovians who have visited sites of the street piano. Yaroslava Serdyuk — of the founders of the creative association Classical Underground, which has a strong educational emphasis. Olga Ksendzovska — constant musician at the “Living Mirror” playback theater, participant of avant garde projects like the first Kharkiv Dark Cabaret “Louis”. Pianist Stanislav Khristenko, although working in USA, regularly returns to Kharkiv with new initiatives, such as Kharkiv Music Fest and Nova Sinfonietta.

So, on Saturday June 23rd, at the exhibition hall of the Municipal Gallery (15, Chernyshevska street), there will be four lectures. The first begins at 13-30. We recommend being on time — each talk will last 30-40 minutes. Entrance is free, no prior registration.
