Kharkiv is one of potential cities applicants for Manifesta 14. So, we are inviting the culture and art community to discuss opportunities, prospects, and readiness to participate in the organization of the International Biennial Manifesta in Kharkiv in 2022.

Manifesta is one of the largest European events in the sphere of contemporary art. It has been held every two years since 1996 — each time in a new city. Manifesta took place in Ljubljana, Zurich, Murcia and Cartagena, Rotterdam, and other cities. This year it will be held in Palermo, Italy.

Each city is selected 4 years before the event, as a result of a competition. This year, for the second time, the Manifesta Foundation has expressed its interest in Ukrainian cities. The newly established Ukrainian Institute has initiated negotiations with the Manifesta Foundation regarding participation in the competition for 2022.

Moderator of the meeting is Tetyana Filevska, the creative director of the Ukrainian Institute.
